How We Review Articles

This page explains how articles on DeFiLiban are checked, who can correct or withdraw them, and how to tell us when we got something wrong. It complements our Editorial Policy and Corrections Policy.

Automated tools in our newsroom

DeFiLiban uses automated tools, including AI systems, to help research, draft and review coverage. We say so because readers deserve to know how the content they read is made. Automation does not change the standards we hold articles to: claims must be attributed, figures must match their source, and analysis must be labeled as analysis.

Our QC checks before publishing

Every article is checked before it goes live by our AI review system against a fixed checklist:

  • Accuracy and sourcing: figures, dates and names are consistent and tied to an identifiable source.
  • Cause and effect: the article does not claim one event caused another without evidence.
  • Reader intent: the article answers the question its headline promises, without padding.
  • Labeling: analysis, opinion, sponsored, affiliate and press-release material is labeled before readers see it.
  • Risk notes: articles about trading, tokens or yields carry a proportionate risk notice and are not financial advice.
  • Headlines and metadata: the headline, summary and image descriptions match what the article says.
  • Language and artifacts: no leftover AI prompts, placeholders or untranslated text.

An article that fails is fixed and checked again. If it still fails, it is held back as a draft and is not published. Articles that pass carry an “Editorial credits” note with the date of the check.

The duty editor

Our duty editor, Olivia Hart, monitors published articles around the clock and can correct an article, withdraw it, or pause publishing across the site. The automated checks are performed by our AI review system, not by the duty editor personally.

Report an error

If you believe an article is inaccurate, unfair or mislabeled, please contact us with the article link and what you think is wrong. Corrections are handled under our Corrections Policy.
